Alan Anderson has passed away on Tuesday, 2 March, 2022.

He also appeared in the 1968 Scottish Cup final, in which the Jambos were defeated by Dunfermline, and the 1971 Texaco Cup final, in which the Jambos were defeated by Wolves.
Anderson also played seven times for Scotland in the SFA World Tour in 1967.
Defender Anderson made over 500 appearances for the Tynecastle club after joining from Scunthorpe for a fee of £1500 in 1963.
